Pressure Washer Safety

When using the pressure washer, turn off the burner atleast 5 minutes before your done spraying off. This allows it to cool down from the cooler water running through as your rinsing off. After you turn off the pressure washer, squeeze the trigger to get the last little bit of water out and to depressurize the unit. There are spray guns on both sides of the bay, so if you are waiting for someone to finish washing, you can give him a hand spraying off the rest of their truck. Below are a couple tips for safely using a pressure washer:

-The high pressure put out by a pressure washer can easily cut through flesh and cause very serious injuries and can cause high-pressure water injection which is very dangerous. Do not spray your skin, clothing, or boots.

-Be aware that the floor in the wash bay and outside the wash bay will be slippery. Watch your step.

-Make sure you are wearing boots, gloves, and safety glasses when using the pressure washer.
