Falling Block
Please be extra mindful when we are removing block walls. We had an incident last summer where a small piece of block fell and hit a worker on the hand  injuiring them. The injured worker was on the ground cleaning up when the incident happened and the other worker was in a scissor lift chipping concrete block and was unaware that the worker was on the ground on the other side of the wall cleaning up. Always be aware of where you are and others are. Do not enter areas where debris may fall. Danger tape off these areas where workers should not enter. ... » Read more

CVSA Operation Safe Driver Week
Today is the first day of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) weeklong driver safety traffic-enforcement initiative, Operation Safe Driver Week. Officers, troopers and inspectors throughout North America will take to roadways with keen attention to passenger vehicle drivers and commercial motor vehicle drivers who are driving unsafely. Keeping Cabs Clean
Please make sure truck cabs are clean and free of clutter. Throw trash away at the end of each day. Also, do not keep anything in the cab that could injury you in a crash or impact the ability for the vehicle to operate safely.This includes chain binders, tools, and other heavy items... » Read more

Safety Data Sheet Compliance Incentive Program for Drivers
Before using any hazardous chemical during your shift, look up the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) to familiarize yourself with the safety requirements for that product. Examples of hazardous chemicals are DEF, Diesel, Equipment Grease, Bake Cleaner, and Power Lube.
